PIER’s mission is to professionalise the international education industry and offer practitioners, working within the industy, an opportunity to improve their professional competence.

By making the Agency Finder freely available to the industry, PIER is able to gather the contact information of international education agents, recruiting students for the Australian education market, and provide them with professional development opportunities appropriate to the Australian education environment.

What common terms are used in the Agency Finder?
  • Institution: An Education Provider
  • Agency: A company offering student recruitment services. An Agency may comprise of multiple Branch Offices.
  • Branch Office: A localised office of an Agency.
  • Dossier: Agency information restricted to use by an individual Institution
  • Profile: Agency information available to the public
  • Legal Entity: The legal entity is the agency’s official business name. The agency name is the “street” name or trading name by which students would know the agency. In some cases, these names may be the same.
  • Principal Agent: The principal agent is the highest ranking (individual) agent in an agency (for example, the Managing Director).
